Nishant Yadav (XI-D), Rudra Pratap Singh (X-B) and Vidushi Sharma (IX-B) secured First Position and were awarded the cash prize of Rs. 5100 in addition to the Winners’ Certificate.

Gurukul The School celebrates uniqueness of individuality and believes in the amalgamation of this uniqueness to strive for the greater good. The school created a marvelous symphony when it brought many renowned schools under one roof for its 8th Annual Inter-School event, Synergy 2019. Vivacious and exuberant students from all over the NCR shared the platform in this one week long literary-sports fiesta. The event bore witness to the gathering of eminent personalities as judges and chief guests.
Under the arch of Synergy, Gurukul propelled a way for collaborative endeavours and keen competitiveness. The event flagged off with Gurukul Hockey Championship, Ishwar Basketball Championship and Gurukul Athletic Meet which witnessed an overwhelming number of contestants on the grounds. The three-day long event saw an unprecedented display of agility, sportsmanship and robustness. Ishwar Basketball Championship (Boys) culminated with a tie between New Era and JKG, Vijay Nagar. In the girls’ category D.P.S.G Vasundhara emerged as winner. In Gurukul Hockey Championship the host school, Gurukul brought the trophy home.
The fiery battle was not restricted to the ground only but the sparks flew during the battle of words too which was held on August 17, 2019. ‘Debattle’ in English and ‘Manthan’ in Hindi, at Junior and senior level showcased the passionate students entangled in the combat of words. The war of words was fought ferociously by the participants while maintaining theirs as well as their opponent’s dignity. This battle came to an end with Amity International, Sec-6 bagging the award for Best Speaker FOR the motion and Vishwa Bharti Public School securing the award for Best Speaker AGAINST at junior level as well as senior level in English Debattle. At senior level Best Speaker FOR the motion was won by Gurukul The School but following the tradition we passed it on to the first runner up i.e. Vishwa Bharti School. Best Interjector Award was won by Vishwa Bharti School and JKG International School at Junior and senior level respectively.
Manthann, the Hindi Debate Competition at Junior level was won by Vishwa Bharti Public School and Amity International Sec-6 FOR and AGAINST the motion respectively. At senior level, again the host school proved its mettle and begged the trophy FOR the motion but handed it over to Amity International, Sec-6. Vishwa Bharti Public School bagged another prize, Best Speaker AGAINST the motion at senior level.
“Atithi Devo Bhava” being the motto of the school, Team Gurukul participated in all the events without contesting for the trophies with a winning spirit. Keeping up with the spirit of a good host, teachers and students worked with a palpable positive energy towards the smooth conduct and successful culmination of the event all the while keeping a respectful and congenial environment.
Feeling proud of the seamless conduct and triumphant execution of the event the principal, Mr. Gaurav Bedi congratulated the entire team.
Gurukul the School honoured the achievement and feat of its students on the 17th Appreciation Day held on July 13, 2019. The august gathering comprised of revered Wing Commander Amit Kumar Lawania, Ms.Vineeta Rathor, Ms.Sneha Rathor, Ms.Lavlin Thadani, Mr.Vikram Dutt, Mr. Satya Prakash Sabherwal, Mr.S.K.Mathur, Ms.Sabina Sehgal, Major Gen. Sunil Chandra, Mr.Gauri Shanker Kesarwani and Gen.P.K.Saighal, who blessed, congratulated and motivated the students with their presence and words.
The thrilling dance performance proclaimed the event and the impetus was carried ahead through a unique video that reflected the journey of sprucing the students towards a steady progress under the arch of school. The video unfurled the relentless efforts of the students and sustained guidance of teachers in internalizing the students with the intricacies of learning, focus, concentration and time management that are the foundation and pillars of the glory.
The school Principal Mr. Gaurav Bedi, in his address, confirmed diligence, commitment and confidence of the Gurukulites that was reflected in their 100% result and outstanding performance in CBSE Class X and Class XII Board examinations. He also announced the commendable scholarships of more than ₹71,00,000 for the excellent performers in both the scholastic and co-scholastic domains. More than 800 students were recognized for their exemplary performances.
The well-deserving meritorious gurukulites- Pakhi Vats and Raghav Singhal were conferred with the ‘Pride of Gurukul’ Award for carrying forth the splendor of the alma-mater to greater heights. The other categories were Best Debater, Creative Writer, Maths Wizard, Computer Wizard, Science Synergid, Sports Boy, Sports Girl, Best in Dramatics, Budding Artist, Nightingale Award, Tapping Feet, Patanjali Award, Consistent Performer Award, Marked Improvement Award and Star Class of the Year Award.
Management comprising school Director Sachin Vats, Director Administration Shikha Vats, Director Finance Diwakar Tiwari and Member of the Governing Body- Prabha Verma along with the dignitaries gave away the prizes.
An awe-inspiring dance performance culminated the grand event. The guests appreciated the grit and determination of the meritorious students. They also congratulated the students for their towering achievements and recommended them to remain committed to their buoyancy and determination.
The Director Sachin Vats acknowledged students’ consistent efforts and the role of parents and teachers in motivating students to reach out to gigantic heights. He thanked the parent fraternity for their unwavering confidence in the school and spurred a streak of motivation in students.

Gurukul the school felt highly jubilant to host the annual Investiture Ceremony on the 16th of May, 2019, which happens to be red letter day for all the students yearning to be magnanimous leaders. On this resounding day, the deserving and meticulous Gurukulites, with incredible leadership caliber, were invested with their duties and responsibilities, and also a gilded opportunity of bringing for school more pride and grandeur through their constant and tenacious efforts. Elected once in a year, the student council indubitably constitutes the core of the school and its foremost duty is to ensure flawless functioning of all events and institutions. The installation was followed by an oath taking ceremony, where the Senior Head Boy Prathmaditya Bhardwaj and the Senior Head Girl Pakhi Vats , the Junior Head Boy Ishit Kulshreshtha and the Junior Head Girl Shreem Singh along with their Brigade strived to go the extra mile for sustaining the honour of the school council by giving full and undeterred justice to their posts. The Investiture Ceremony was a mesmerizing event which focused on instilling the insights of global leaders into the young minds and promised to provide them opportunities to excel further in all fields, from academic to co-scholastic activities.
The budding Hockey team of Gurukul the School, armored with zeal, zest and frenzied enthusiasm bagged third position in the 24th CBSE National Hockey Tournament-2018 held at Guru Nanak Model Senior Secondary School, Doraha, Ludhiana, Punjab. Giving a tough battle to the power packed contesting teams from all over country; the magnanimous gurukulites proved dexterity and gumption in the under-19 boys category and brought home the glory of bronze medal. Coach Neeraj Kumar shared that the intensive training sessions and strategic planning by feisty players helped augment their unwavering stamina and sporting acumen. The insistent grit and avalanche of energy exhibited by the School Champion Vedant Oberoi seized him the unprecedented grandeur of ‘BEST FULL BACK OF THE TOURNAMENT’ award.
Principal, Mr Gaurav Bedi applauded the commendable performance of the team. The management congratulated the stupendous team for the remarkable achievement and wished the committed team for the impending future endeavors.

Under – 17 Team won the Championship and Under – 19 Team was the Runner – up of the Championship. 2 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals in individual Category.
The Management and staff of Gurukul The School commemorated 16th Founder's Day with fun filled activities and cake cutting ceremony under the stewardship of School's visionary Founder Director Mr. Sachin Vats. From the day when the School set sails for an eventful educational voyage with minimal resources at the first mini branch set up in Raj Nagar, to the present day gigantic campus at NH 24 housing world class infrastructure with another branch successfully established in Crossings Republic, there has been no looking back for Team Gurukul, which personifies the School's VISION.
A quick flash back of the receding years, brought alive the reminiscence of invested efforts and the tide of rewards and recognitions bestowed upon the School by several premier world class surveys. More than 35 schools of Delhi NCR participated in Ishwar Basketball Championship, Gurukul Hockey Championship, Debate, Spellathon, Edutrail, Elocution, Nukkad Natak ,Meri Kahani Muhaaron Ki Zubaani and Manthan. Eminent experts from their respective fields graced the occasion as judges for different events. SYNERGY aims to promulgate the student’s talents across multitudes. Fostering the healthy spirit of participation, Gurukulites believe not in competing with each other, but rising above the norms and conquering with their virtuous caliber.
